What is the best time to schedule your outdoor portrait session?
I can shoot anytime of the day or night. However I will advise you that mid-day sun (10 am - 2 pm) is NOT the most ideal time to book your session. but it can yield fairly decent results. On the other hand, 1 hour prior to and and 1 hour after sunrise or sunset yields stunning results. I can provide suggestions for you depending on the time of the year. When shooting in the Fall or Spring it might be wise to schedule your session during the warmer part of the day, than to try to shoot during sunrise or sunset - as the temperatures might not be ideal.
Where should my session be located, and who decides this?
I am primarily an on location photographer, which means I can come to you. The location of your session is up you. As long as the location you decide upon falls within a 20 mile radius of Groton, NY (13073) you will not be charged an extra travel fee. In addition, I also have a small in home studio which is an option for those winter months when the temperatures are low, and for additional session options. If your having trouble choosing a location, please keep in mind that some of the best images can be captured at your home. If you need suggestions on a location, please feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to assist you on your decision.
What should we wear to our portrait session?
It's usually best to keep clothing simple and avoid logos and busy patterns. I recommend you wear clothes that represent you best and represent who you are as a person. Click HERE for additional information regarding what to wear for your session.
What should I bring to my portrait session?
For all sessions, I recommend that you bring outfit changes if you desire to have different looks. For families with young children, it often helps for children to have a toy, stuffed animal, or something that makes them more comfortable.
Do you edit every photo from my session?
Yes, I edit every image that I have selected from your session. Some of the images receive more in-depth styling depending on the situation or the look that I'm attempting to achieve. In conclusion, it is my honor and responsibility to ensure that your images look the best that they possibly can. Click HERE for more information regarding retouching and image enhancements.
